In constructing our facility we have taken into account the needs of dogs including the
impact of chronic stress due to a lack of proper rest. Dogs require 17-20 hours of sleep
per day and are most active at dawn and dusk. Boarding in and of itself can be stressful
to some dogs, we have done our best to minimize this.
We understand that "cage-free" and "no confinement" kennels are popping up across the
country, but we feel dogs do need a space to call their own and the ability to rest quietly.
Paws Inn will have a total of 17 available boarding suites. Some will be indoor only,
some will be outdoor only and some will include connected indoor and outdoor space.
Inside you will find natural lighting, and comfort controlled temperature. We have
"Comfort Zone' dog appeasing pheromones 24 hours a day as well as calming music
courtesy of Through a Dogs Ear.
The indoor only suites shall have access to outdoor play yards between the hours of 7 am
and 9 pm (but no dogs shall share space with other visitors for the well-being of all).
All outdoor spaces are covered so you can rest assured your dog is not "in the elements'
during periods of inclement weather. The outdoor exercise runs are 10' x 5' and have a
visual barrier between them to avoid any barrier frustration or other issues associated
with open fences.
Our indoor suites are designed to resemble small rooms and create an insulated visual
barrier with a full glass door. Each indoor suite is 5' x 5' for adequate space to move
around.
Our goal is to make your dog's time with us a pleasurable and mental stimulating as
possible. We will provide dogs with interactive toys (used for feeding times) to keep
them busy, happy and free from boredom. We use Kong Company and Busy Buddy
products. You are also welcome to bring anything from home that will make your dog
more comfortable.
We are also happy to offer walking and daycare packages for your canine companion
during their stay. Ask for more details.
Styling and Spa packages available upon request and scheduling.
Training packages with Renea are available upon request (must be arranged prior to
check in and paid for in full at time of drop off). Renea will be happy to help you teach
your dog to behave appropriately.
All staff dealing directly with dogs are properly trained to deal with dogs in a safe and
respectful manner so you can rest assured they are in the best hands possible during
their stay.
