PawsU offers both private and group training options designed to fit your schedule and life style.

                                         
 Group Options
PawsU group training options are run on an open enrollment concept.  You purchase training sessions in one of our
training package options.  Open enrollment means if you pay for 4 training sessions you get 4 training sessions, no
accommodate busy schedules.  All training sessions are designed to allow dog and handler to gain proficiency in
needed skills, as well as to allow you to pick what you and your dog need the most.

Basics:
Real World Training:  Join us in the "Real World" were we will have your dog acting appropriately in public.  This
class meets in Stevens Point at various locations including parks, down town, parking lots, strip malls-anywhere your
dog would be when not in a classroom.  Apply reinforcement based training in the REAL WORLD!

Distracted Dog: The goals of this session are to simply gain and keep your dog's attention in a variety of settings
with distractions, to get reliable name recognition from your dog under a variety of circumstances and to introduce
default positions.  This session is required of all first-time students.

Loose Leash Walking & Rock Solid Recall:  The goals of this session are loose leash walking, a rock
solid recall and to help your dog learn to settle and wait.  

Solid Stays & Heeling:  The goals of this session are to build upon the two previous as we work to obtain a
solid stay in both the down and sit position, heeling and immediate sits and downs.  We use Rally Obedience
exercises to get outstanding heeling results.  

Off-Lead Work:  Dogs in this training session will be working toward reliable off lead skills a recommendation
from an instructor is required.

Manners/Better Behavior:
Impulse/Self Control:  These game based sessions will help your dog with simple self control items such as
"leave it", combat jumping and no more pulling on the leash.

Crate Games:  The main goal of these sessions is to curb door dashing, whether for guests or simply just rushing
out the door, we work on teaching your dog more appropriate behavior.  
Owners are asked to bring a crate in the appropriate
size for the dog.

Appropriate Meetings & Greetings:  We will work on dog and people friendly meetings and greetings.  This
is an active class and is NOT for dogs with dog aggressive tendencies.


Responsible Owner Training:  
Puppy Socialization:  The main goal of these sessions is for the proper supervised socialization of dogs under
the age of 6 months.  Groups will be divided by play style and temperament of puppies. Check our calendar for exact
times.

Clicking with Kids:  Available to kids under the age of 17, these sessions will teach kids how to shape behavior
and use a clicker to mark appropriate behavior.  Kids will learn the fine art of positive reinforcement in a fun and
educational environment.  Child MUST be able to handle dog without adult intervention to be in this class.

Bite Prevention:  Renea is a licensed bite prevention specialist and is happy to come to your event, school or
home to present the Be A Tree or Doggone Smart at Work programs.  For more information contact Renea.


Advanced and for fun:
Nose Games:  Dogs love to smell and play, this class is all about allowing your dog to be a dog while he sniffs out
and solves puzzles!  

Introduction to The Sport of Tracking:  Learn about the fun, non-competitive team sport of tracking --
where a dog follows human scent to locate articles dropped along a track.

Foundation Agility:
Jumps, Tunnels, Weaves and Table:  Handlers will gain solid foundation training for these simple and
fast agility obstacles.  Safe handling is key.

Contact Obstacles:  Handler will learn how to navigate their dog properly and safely on contact agility
equipment, work on solid exit skills and gain speed and obstacle recognition.  
Agility dogs should have a good off-lead recall as we work outside.

All packages must be paid in advance of enrollment and are good for any open enrollment sessions.  Check with our instructors for

Do not have time for group training?  Renea will gladly work with you on a one-to-one
basis.  Our private options include:

Smart Start Puppy Program:  Brining a puppy into your home is a fun and exciting time.  Let Renea help you
make the best of this early learning time!  This 2 hour appointment includes the following...
A socialization plan specifically designed for your puppy.
Introduction to teaching your puppy manners
     Appropriate greetings, loose lead walking, dealing with the car and other public places, jumping up, mouthing, quiet time and
other skills of interest dealing with your specific needs.

Potty training, crate training.
Mental and physical stimulation
Nutrition and health options
Appropriate play
Proper management techniques for a happy home
Introduction to existing pets (if needed)

The investment for this program includes an initial 2 hour appointment, phone and email follow up and assistance
for the first 6 months of puppy ownership and a collection of handouts and other printed materials.   $95.00
(non-refundable payment required in full.  Non-transferable).

Private In-Home:
Renea will come to your home and customize a training program for you and your dog, based on your individual
needs and lifestyle.  You will receive Renea's experience and expertise in teaching your dog what is appropriate, how
to deal with minor problematic behaviors and more.

                Board & Train

In-boarding training is available for those in need of assistance in starting their dog off right.  Renea will work with
your dog (and provide video footage for you) daily on basic manners, walking on lead and more.  We do not currently
offer in-board potty training options.

Your investment is $750.00 for 3 weeks of Board and Train.  A fee of $2.00 per meal will apply if we supply food.
