OPEN CLASSES now running!
The following classes are run on an open class concept. You purchase class time and are welcome to join us for any class
that works with your schedule. Click on the calender link above to see when classes are offered. All open classes are fun,
informative and are designed to create a well-mannered pet with self-control. We use ONLY reinforcement training and do not
subscribe to the "whispering theory of dominance". CHOKE & PRONG COLLARS ARE FORBIDDEN in my classroom,
should our instructors decide a training collar is needed, you will be instructed as to what type will work for your dog and we
will help you purchase one.
Enrollment fee is $55.00 per 4 Open Class sessions or $15.00 for one session (if space permits)
6 month Open Class Package -- $275.00 -- Unlimited access to all Open Classes for 6 months. (expiration dates enforced)
SKILL SETS:
Skill Set One:Attention/Focus, Combat Jumping, Default Positions & Leave It. This is REQUIRED before joining the other skill sets.
Skill Set Two: Loose Leash, Rock Solid Recall, Wait, Settle
Skill Set Three: Perfect Sits/Downs, Stay, & Heeling
Skill Set Four: Off- Lead Work, Door-Dashing
Skill Set Five: Dealing with Distractions, Proofing
The objective to all skill set classes is for the owner/handler to demonstrate proficiency in obtaining these behaviors from their dog.
Clicking with Kids!
The name says it all! This class if for kids (under 18) wishing to learn about dog training! We will work on shaping desirable
behaviors all while learning how and why positive reinforcement works!
The Shape of Things To Come
The goal of these sessions is to help dog/owner handlers learn how to use behavior shaping to work on the behaviors they feel are
appropriate and wanted in their canine companion. We will utilize a clicker in this class.
Reactive Dog Class
The goal of this program is to obtain a lower reaction threshold. We will work to aid owners in gaining the skills needed to keep their
dog under threshold and offering more appropriate behaviors to stress situations. Limited to 3 dogs-call to arrange an appointment.
Pricing structure is $85.00 for 4 sessions.
Specialty Scheduled Classes
Door Dashing & Appropriate Greetings: Teach your dog how greet people, stop charging at or out the door using
reinforcement training. This is a 6 week class limited to a maximum of 5 dogs.
Enrollment fee is $95.00
AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy: Join our AKC approved CGC evaluator in this fun and informative 6 week class. Puppies (under 1 year of age)
and their people will be introduced to responsible dog ownership, beginning puppy training, proper socialization, and much more. On
"Graduation Night" all puppies passing the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy test will receive paperwork to submit for a certificate, medallion and
other benefits from the AKC.
Enrollment fee is $75.00
AKC Canine Good Citizen: This 6 week class is based on the 10 evaluation topics needed to pass the American Kennel Club Canine
Good Citizen test. Open to all dogs regardless of registry or breeding.
